Make a mug and coaster pottery workshop
This workshop introduces you to the art of hand building in a fun, friendly and accessible way. It is suitable for ceramic beginners, or anyone who has briefly experimented with clay and wants to give it another go!
With copious teas and coffees this class will introduce you to techniques such as slab rolling, carving, embossing and joining. Templates are provided for the class however if you have a specific design in mind, you can also create your own unique piece!
You'll be taken through the steps of rolling and compressing, cutting out your forms and constructing your mug and coaster; which you can then enjoy decorating and customising with all the tools available.
Once you finish creating your set you can get stuck into painting your pieces with a range of different coloured slips! They will then be left to dry for a week, after which they will be bisque fired, glazed and fired again. Pieces are usually ready to collect between 4 - 6 weeks after creation. All pieces made are dishwasher safe.
The aim of this workshop is to make clay fun and easily accessible to everyone. You can book the workshop individually, or privately for birthdays, work do's, hen do's and many more!
Provided by us: Aprons, clay, all tools for carving, rolling pins and guides, rolling matt, teas and coffees, letters for embossing templates. ... you just need to bring yourselves!
My priority is to keep customers and myself safe. I ask that everyone attending any of the classes adheres to the current government guidelines.
