Pottery Workshop: Make a ceramic oil burner

Handbuild a ceramic tealight essential oil/ wax melt burner to fill your home with gorgeous smells. This workshop is suitable for beginners and will teach you the art of handbuilding whilst creating something pretty AND functional for the home.

This relaxed class will introduce you to pottery techniques: slab rolling, carving, embossing and joining. Templates are provided for the class however if you have a specific design in mind you can also create your own unique piece!

You'll be taken through the steps of rolling and compressing, cutting out your forms and constructing your oil burner and then you are free to enjoy decorating and customising with all the tools available.

A range of coloured slips will be available to paint your oil burner before firing.

The aim of this workshop is to make clay fun and easily accessible to everyone. You can book the workshop individually, or privately for birthdays, work do's, hen do's and other special occasions!

Pieces are usually ready to collect between 4 - 6 weeks after creation. All pieces made are dishwasher safe.

Cancellation policy

For a full refund the participant may cancel the booking up to a week before the start date. If the participant fails to cancel the course prior to this, the full course fees are payable.
